Projects from the Table
The ASATT consulting team is dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships with local businesses in the Ithaca community that align with our values. Each semester, we engage with a selected organization to provide tailored consulting services, leveraging our members' diverse skills and perspectives. Our projects encompass a range of areas, including market analysis, strategic planning, and community outreach.

Business Leaders of Colors
Spring 2023
In Spring ’23, ASATT’s Consulting Team partnered with Business Leaders of Colors (BLOC), which is founded and managed by Gladys Brangman. BLOC is a local Ithaca organization dedicated to building and supporting a network of small business owners who are from traditionally underrepresented groups. BLOC helps these business owners by providing resources and a cohesive network of shared wisdom and business advice. Last semester, ASATT was able to impact BLOC in a number of ways. One of the major things the Consulting Team worked on was creating an exhibit in the Tompkins County History Center which featured individual business owners, their stories, and their products for the public to see. ASATT Consulting also helped with website and social media development. It was an honor to work with such a meaningful organization and meet so many hardworking minority business owners. Gladys was amazing to work with and she even gave a speech at our Social Impact Gala, which we hosted at Cornell towards the end of the year. We look forward to a continuous partnership with BLOC and can’t wait to see what these business owners accomplish.
Khuba International
Spring 2022
Khuba International is a Black-led non-profit organization that seeks to integrate youth education, sustainable agriculture, and community development through hands-on programming and inclusive partnership-building based in Tompkins County, New York. Some of their areas of focus include: BIPOC farming, black-led land access, food sovereignty, literacy, and sustainable agriculture outreach. Khuba International’s programming ranges from free and low-cost book distribution to youth of African and/or indigenous ancestry and students needing expanded access to home libraries, to the installation of raised beds for African diaspora and food insecure families.
